Junior Secondary Education and History Major at Salve Regina University in Newport Rhode Island. My Current GPA is 3.53.
Experience
I have tutored a second grade girl in Math, a sophomore in high school in Geometry, and finally I tutored for over a year at an Alternative Learning Program school that is geared towards students at risk of dropping out of high school. I have taken several education classes that I think would benefit me as a tutor. These include Introduction to Teaching, Learning Methods and Theories, Characteristics of Exceptional Students, Current Methods and Assessment and finally Teaching Reading in the Content Areas. I would love to be a tutor simply because I love teaching. I am willing to tutor any age even though my degree will be in grades 7 through 12. I am happy when I am teaching and would love to be able to help a student that is struggling feel better about themselves. I also have spent a summer as an Orientation Leader which was great way for me to practice working with teenagers.
