Education

My name is Sarah Fletcher. I am in my second year at Salve Regina University. My majors are Psychology and English Literature. My GPA last semester was 3.62.

Experience

I use to tutor middle school boys in all subjects as part of my community service for National Honor Society. I want to be a tutor for two reasons. The first is that I understand the stress a subject in school can bring you when you just don't understand it. I went to a tutoring group to prep for my SATS and it made me feel 100%$ more comfortable than if I went into the test with no preparation. The second reason I want to be a tutor is that the boys I use to tutor were bright students, they just did not find school enjoyable. I feel as though it is really helpful to place these types of students with a tutor because it shows them that kids close to their age are showing an interest and excitement over school subjects. Also, high school can be some of the most stressful years, seeing you have to get ready for college. I hope that if I am chosen to tutor I can take away some of that stress in the students courses and make their journey through high school a little more easier. I have taken three college Psychology courses, including Psychology 101, Cross Cultural Psychology, and now Theories of Personality. I scored a 3 on my AP English exam, and I have taken British Literature, American Literature, I exempted out of Literary Master Pieces, and I am also taking a Philosophy course. I have taken Spanish from 7th grade up until last year (freshman year in college).
