Experience

I have been tutoring since I was 13 years old because I simply love working with children. My best educational experiences came from working with my teachers and tutors one-on-one; I wish to provide the same support and passion with the students I tutor. I have also been a camp counselor every summer since I was 13. I have worked with children ages 4-13 since then.

Hobbies

I am an avid lover of history, politics, music, theatre, reading and sports. I am the only child of an attorney and a teacher and have been surrounded by a love of learning from a young age. Both my parents were US History majors in college, so that has become my specialty, with a focus on Early Settlements through the Civil War. I have also been involved with music and acting since age 7, which has enabled me to always incorporate a sense of fun and excitement in everything I do. I am by no means an athlete, but am a huge fan of all sports, especially baseball and soccer. As a tutor, I feel it is important to understand the hobbies and interests of the student and incorporate those into my teaching.
